Install Star Check Writer on Linux using CrossOver

Purchase CrossOver - https://www.codeweavers.com/

1. Make sure you have CodeWeavers CrossOver program installed on your Linux machine. If you do not have CrossOver yet installed, please use this link to get help with installing CrossOver to run Windows applications on your Linux machine.  https://starresoft.helpspot.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=562

2. With CrossOver installed head to https://starresoft.com/checkwriter.htm and purchase a copy of Star Check Writer.

 

3. If you choose to download a copy of Star Check Writer, you will receive an email. Click on the link towards the top to begin the download.  You can also insert your install disk(CD/USB) of Star Check Writer to begin the process.

4. After the download finishes, CrossOver should open up to begin the install process. If using an install disk(CD/USB), click on the drive and that should open up CrossOver.
Make sure the chkwtr file is selected and then click on the "Select Application" button near the top.

 

5. Under "Select Application" select "Unlisted application" then click Continue.

 

6. Click Install to begin installing Star Check Writer.

 

7.After the install finishes you will be asked to go through the Setup for Star Check Writer.

 

8. After you complete the setup, you can then begin using Star Check Writer.
